Privacy Policy
NissiFood Culinary Academy is run by JEHO NISSIFOODS LTD, trading as Chef Nissi Catering (“we”, “us”), company no. 17334721, registered in England and Wales and operating from Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. We are the controller of the personal data described here under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash).
- If you sign in with Google: your name, email and profile picture from Google.
- Sign-in records: the date, IP address and browser of each session, for security and to apply the limit on how many devices can be signed in at once.
- Learning data: the courses you buy and your progress through them (from launch).
- Purchases: order details. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card number.
Why we use it
- To provide your account and the courses you buy (performance of a contract).
- To keep accounts secure and prevent fraud (legitimate interests).
- To send service emails such as email confirmation, password resets and receipts.
- To meet tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation).
Who we share it with
Trusted providers that run the service for us: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Resend (email), Mux (video), Cloudflare (file storage), Stripe (payments) and Google (if you choose Google sign-in). Some process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account is open. If you delete your account we remove your personal data, except records we must keep by law (such as sales records for tax, kept for 6 years).
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to or restrict how we use it. You can delete your account at any time from My account → Security. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
